Arla had two sessions of Occupational Therapy and two sessions of Physical Therapy today.  She is willing to work.  And even at this early stage, the work is hard.  So the working and real waiting begins.  She continues to show progress everyday…today we watched her imitate a therapist to brush her teeth and comb her hair.  During physical therapy she could move muscles in her right leg.   She is laughing and following simple commands.

And while progress is encouraging, we are learning that there is much to assess and many realities to face.  The road will be long.   There are many unknowns.  However….there are many certainties.  Arla is still with us.  Arla is doing better than was initially expected.  God has a purpose for Arla….as he has a purpose for us all.  Each day is a blessing.  We pray that you will live today as a gift from God… because that is exactly what it is….a gift.
