How and when should a person pray? 1 Thessalonians 16 – 18 tells us, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” While many verses in the Bible teach us how to pray, this one covers the important basics. When one prays, they should praise and give thanks to God. All we have and all we are comes from our Father. We should pray unceasingly. Prayers do not need to be long or even spoken aloud. God hears our quiet, heartfelt whispers. If our mind is in prayer and we commune and communicate often with our Lord, He will receive and respond to a prayer that is as simple as “God be with Arla.” Imagine the number of people and situations you could pray for every morning as you get dressed or as you drive to work in your car. Every one of us has time to pray.
And so, we bring to you another prayer request. Please speak the name Dale in your daily prayers. Pray that Dale may become healed. Pray for strength and normal blood pressure. Pray for Dale’s family. Pray for patience and calm. God has His hand on Dale and now we must pray. It is our commandment. If anyone out there is not used to praying, just say this… “God, thank you for giving us this day. God be with Dale. Amen.” It will be a start, and you will feel the power of our God.
What an uplifting message you are sending through your updates! I think we can all find comfort in your peace and reassurance that Ms. Arla is God’s hands. You, her family, are a true testiment to Ms. Arla’s faith that you continue to trust in HIM even in this difficult time. I pray for Arla, Dale, and your family that you may continue to see God’s presence in this situation and that HIS hand of peace and comfort rests upon each of you. God Bless you all!
